Every year artist Kristina Carroll encourages artists to take part in a weekly creative prompt. She does this twice a year, once in February for Month of Love, and again in October for Month of Fear.
This year I have decided to put a bit more effort into the challenges, trying to get a solid piece done for each weekly prompt. Normally I wing these, but this time had a little bit more preparation into the pieces.
First prompt is Heroes. These are kept pretty wide open to interpretation. I chose to go with Princess Leia Organa. Growing up I loved Princess Leia, especially in Return of The Jedi, where she enters into Jabba's Palace to save Han Solo. Even though she doesn't wear the costume for very long in the movie, that part has always stuck in my head because it was the first instance where I understood it was feasible for a princess to come to the rescue.
Stay tuned for more to come. I have decided to skip out on next week's prompt in order to tackle some other projects, but will return the following week for the final two prompts: Weapons, and Fantasy.
